For flavours, we have a long list of options to choose from, ranging from the classics like Victoria sponge to more unusual combinations like brown sugar and cinnamon. Take a look at our cake flavour menu for full details. Our flavours are plant-based by default (though you'd never know by tasting them) and many can be altered to suit other dietary requirements.
Practical information
Once you've sorted the guest list for your event, we can advise on the most appropriate size for your cake. Our most common baby shower and Christening cake sizes and the number of people they feed are listed below. These figures are for round cakes in our standard height - four layers of sponge, six inches tall - and are based on a 2"x1"x6" portion size, called a dessert portion. A dessert portion is about the same amount of cake as two cupcakes. If you are serving other food at your celebration or prefer smaller portions, then cutting the cake into 1"x1"x6" slices will suit better - this will yield double the number of portions listed below.
Because we never make the same cake twice, there's no standardised price list. Instead, we can give a base price for a plainly-iced cake and will then give a quote for your tailored cake once we've got all the details. This will depend largely on the complexity of the design and how long it takes to make your cake. We are always happy to advise on adjustments to your ideas to bring them in line with your budget, if you have one. Full payment is required two weeks before delivery.

La Petite Bouche Bakery is located close to Reading in Berkshire, and we deliver our cakes all over the south east of England. Our careful packaging and transportation ensure your cake arrives in perfect condition, meaning one less thing for you to take care of on the day of your celebration.
