There's no such thing as a 'typical' wedding cake at La Petite Bouche Bakery. We take the time to fully understand your brief and will then work with you to create the wedding cake of your dreams.

Popular configurations
Our most common tiered cake sizes and the number of people they feed are listed below. These figures are for round cakes in our standard height - four layers of sponge, six inches tall - and are based on a 1"x1"x6" portion size, called a wedding portion. A wedding portion is about the same amount of cake as one cupcake and is how wedding cakes are typically sliced for buffet-style service during an evening reception.

Our wedding cakes are one-offs with multiple elements that affect their cost, and are thus priced individually. We know a wedding cake isn't an everyday purchase though, so have included starting prices for popular sizes to help with planning your wedding budget.

The making of your tiered wedding cake
Our tiered cakes are crafted with precision and care to ensure stability and a flawless finish. We incorporate hidden structural support as needed, ensuring your cake stands proud throughout your special day.
Each tier is transported separately to your venue and then assembled in situ, with any perishable decorations like flowers and fresh fruit added at the last moment. For this reason, we don't allow wedding cakes to be collected.
